Alysia is a practicing artist and educator. Her art practice includes drawing, sculpture, and video installation. Alysia completed a Master of Teaching (Secondary Art) from the University of Melbourne (2012). She holds a Bachelor of Fine Art with Honours, Victorian College of the Arts (2006); a Diploma of Arts (Visual Arts), Council of Adult Education (2002); and a Bachelor of Design (Fashion Design), Canberra Institute of Technology (1999).

Alysia has participated in group exhibitions since 1997 and was a finalist in the Baldessin Foundation Travelling Fellowship Exhibition in 2006. Her work has been included in a number of festivals including the Sustainable Living Festival and Mudfest (both Melbourne). In 2009 she completed an Artist in Residence at St Vincent's Hospital, Melbourne. Her work is held in a number of national public and private collections, including the Council of Adult Education, St Vincent's Hospital and Southern Health (all Melbourne).
